About Our Client
Our client is a well-established, fresh produce business that serves retail, foodservice and wholesale customers in the UK. Their range of products includes top fruit, avocados, citrus, grape, kiwis, mangoes, melons, and veg.
About the Role
As a fresh produce trader, you will be responsible for planning and procuring the required product for the customer base. You will have to understand the cost structure and robust cost management as well as understand logistics planning and stock management of fresh products.
In addition, you will be managing current relationships with the supply base as well as establishing new relationships.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of two years' experience in fresh produce trading, specifically salad categories. The right candidate will speak or have a good understanding of Spanish and posses' excellent people and team management skills.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have been working a senior role within the fresh produce industry, as a trader(sales/purchasing). In addition, you will have sales experience selling fresh produce into non-retail customers.
