A chance to make your mark in the PMO function, helping the group make better decisions on project management and planning.
A new position in the team, you will help develop and own the processes on new project and framework compliance, collating information and identifying trends and challenges on resource management, spend and compliance.
You will work with senior managers (so must be happy with challenging people, even if they are above you) and drive and grow the role to improve the portfolio and PMO function.
The list of areas you will cover is broad and you may not have done all of these, but you will know what "good" looks like and how to get there
You will act as a deputy to the Group Head of Portfolio & PMO on all portfolio matters, act as a senior member of the Change management team and be an ambassador of the change policy and supporting processes.
You will have ownership of the annual planning framework to define the change delivery plans across the next calendar year. You will collate input from Programme Delivery, ensure alignment to Portfolio objectives and present outputs – this includes the process to define the annual budget needed to support the delivery of the portfolio.

Your background will be varied, and you will come from a PMO / Portfolio function, ideally within financial services but certainly from a portfolio team of around 10 – 20 project managers, 50 to 60 projects taking place with a spend of £40 – 50M per annum
You will have previous experience working with different project methodology and working environments specifically in waterfall and agile approaches and working across multi locations and offshore internal clients is essential.
You will be analytical, able to look at data and see trends, then communicate these to the business
Excellent communication skills are a must, along with a drive to improve processes
