A civil engineering contractor is recruiting a Planner for their Hampshire office to work on tender stage and live projects. The business is a principal contractor who work with local authorities and private sector clients on projects typically between £4m – £10 million. The diversity of projects includes road widening, bridge construction, public realm, flood alleviation schemes, sea defences and water treatment upgrades.

The business is open to talking to Site Engineers or Site Agents who are looking to get off site and move into an office based role where they can progress in planning or other pre-construction roles. However, the role is also still suited to someone with an established background in planning.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a civil engineering environment with NEC contracts on highways, infrastructure schemes comprising of road widening, drainage, bridges or section 278 works.

Planner Duties include:

Creating and amend programmes using MS Projects
Identifying major restrictions and contract requirements
Work with pre-construction and delivery team to agree construction methodology
Developing overall programmes, issuing to all relevant parties and input recommendations and amendments
Produce tender programme for additional works
Work with the commercial team to identify and raise EWN and CE's
Throughout construction work closely with the operations team to ensure the programme is maintained, updated and in accordance with the planned works
