Job title: Payroll Manager

Salary: £60k-£70k

Location: Your Head Quarters are based in Ashford but this role is offering an agile-based contract with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent on a monthly basis to meet with the team or travel to other sites.

A corporate global company with a stunning London style Head office. The company we're recruiting for would like to recruit a talented, collaborative and confident Payroll Manager to manage a team of 9 Payroll Specialists, processing Payroll for 7500 employees on SAP.

You'll be responsible for:

The day-to-day management and operational performance of the end-to-end payroll function and as the business continues to grow and evolve, looking for opportunities to continuously improve.
Relationship management is a key element to this role, as you will work closely with key stakeholders internally & externally, as well as a small number of third-party payroll suppliers.
The operational delivery of an end-to-end payroll service across a large, complex, and diverse business.
Leadership of the payroll function ensuring team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the payroll team objectives and to contribute to project and initiatives.
Ensuring legal compliance across the function.
Creating, reviewing and revising policies, procedures and processes in line with business and legal requirements.
Supporting internal and external audits and ensure scheduled annual, monthly and weekly internal checks are completed, undertaking spot checks at random intervals.
Management of third-party suppliers ensuring a strong and effective working relationship.
Day to day issue resolution of issues and implement measures to ensure non-reoccurrence.
Supporting ad hoc projects.
Driving continuous improvement through the implementation of best practice payroll innovations and look for ways to streamline ways of working.
Creating a culture of high engagement through inspirational leadership, openness, transparency and authenticity.We'd love to speak to candidates who have the following:

Experience as a Payroll Manager.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.
Experience of managing multiple payrolls across 7000+ employees.
Knowledge of data input, control accounts, reconciliation of accounts, P11ds, Year-end payroll processes, RTI, pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, auditing and expenses management.
Experience and knowledge of computerised payroll systems and tools such as Microsoft Excel to manipulate and understand high volumes of data.
Experience of using SAP HCM is essential.
Proven leadership ability, you will have highly developed relationship, influencing and communication skills to enable effective stakeholder management at all levels within the organisation and externally.Next steps:
