Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £22,000 – £24,000
Job Type: Temp – Perm
XCL Group are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator for our client based in Huddersfield. The client is a large manufacturing company. They are looking for an experienced individual who can ensure client deadlines are met, whilst ensuring cost efficient measures are enforced.
The main duties of the role will be, but not limited to:
* Use hauliers booking system to book UK transport
* Organise transportation agencies and transport companies to meet customer demands
* Be involved with service improvements and also come up with ways to reduce costings.
* Working with despatch to ensure all delivery/ collection schedules are in order, to avoid any issues.
* Coordinate customer deliveries
* Following up with clients and internal customers to ensure deliveries have been made, and keeping them up to date with any delays/ issues.
* To prepare orders ensuring all checks have been carried out
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
* IT Literate, comfortable with Microsoft packages
* Ability to multi task a number of jobs
* Good level of numeracy and literacy
* Previous experience in an office administration role
