We are delighted to represent a prestigious, multinational manufacturing organisation in their appointment of a Division Lean Manager to take up a multisite role covering facilities in the EMEA region

This role will hold responsibility for divisional Lean performance over 4 distinct manufacturing operations, providing leadership and guidance at local level, whilst acting as overall Lean Champion and representative for the division.

* Educated to Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree level in an engineering or science related discipline

* A background in a multisite, multinational setting with a focus on Lean implementation, directing and tracking multiple projects at varying stages on different sites!

* A strong knowledge and practical application of Lean, value stream mapping, JIT, process flow, 6S, TPM, visual management, Kanban and problem solving – demonstrating relevant operational and financial wins, ideally in manufacturing, supply chain and enterprise settings

* A background in the Automotive or ‘off highway’ sector would be beneficial

* Skilled in strategy deployment (Hoshin Kanri), but equally you should still enjoy training and facilitating Lean tools in a ‘shop floor’ workshop setting

* Well honed influencing skills, and with the ability to gain commitment from others in a matrix structured business

* Experienced in delivering change in plants outside of the UK, considering cultural differences

* As this role sits at senior management level, you will work together with other SMT members on shared business performance targets, therefore true cross functional collaboration is required.

* Travel to other EMEA locations estimated at 20 – 25% (initially more focused in the UK).

Whilst this is a senior role with major strategic and project management content, our client seeks an exuberant, engaging and inspiring Lean subject matter expert who remains passionate about facilitating change, training, leading workshops and personally transferring knowledge to others

This role will be plant based in West Yorkshire, with some home working available, but cannot be offered as remote, so we seek locally based applicants, or those willing to relocate.
