Housing Concierge (Weekend shifts)

We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our extra care Community Wellbeing scheme, Amblers Orchard in the beautiful village of Tingley. We support older people aged 55+ with varying care and support needs to live independently in their own home with peace of mind.

We offer high quality living in our 63 beautifully designed apartments with a variety of on-site facilities including assistive technology, 24/7 on site wellbeing and care provision, restaurant, café, hair/beauty salon, cosy communal lounges with a family area, activity room and picturesque landscaped gardens. It’s a real hub within the local community!

Based from our fantastic new building on Westerton Walk, we are just minutes from the M62 and M1 and very close to good public transport links, with bus stops just around the corner on Westerton Road with routes for Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford.

About you

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, or perhaps in a similar role. However, it’s your “can do” positive attitude, enthusiasm and passion to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll be reliable and able to work on your own initiative.  To keep our records right and our customers safe, you’ll also need to be technologically savvy to complete records and use our systems (or at the very least not be a technophobe!).  

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for this, if you don’t have a transferrable one already. 

Your role

You’ll be covering our weekend day shifts, ensuring the smooth running of our service. This will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to.  

You’ll ensure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours! 

Working Hours

You’ll be providing support to our customers, working 3pm until 11pm every Saturday and Sunday. We need you to be flexible to meet their needs, in return we’ll give you the time you need to do the things that matter to you!

About our team

You’ll be reporting to Lianne, our Community and Wellbeing Manager, working closely alongside our housing team and Melissa, our Registered Manager and her Care and Support team too. So, you’ll have tons of experienced support on hand working within our exciting brand-new service.
