My client is delivering an employment programme to people who have been out of work for a year or more and offers them tailored support to find sustainable employment. This roles is located in Lymington, New Forest.

As an Employment Advisor you will play a vital role in the success of the programme. You will be in charge of managing a caseload of customers, working with them to create and follow an individualised work plan towards sustained employment.

Key responsibilities:

Take responsibility and accountability for customers as assigned and working with them through to employment.
Assessing the customer's starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.
Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
Address customer's barriers to employment, providing challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate to develop customers capability
Identify, structure, and recommend vacancy and training solutions, working in close consultation with the team and other third parties for specialist signposting services
Maintain customer records to a required quality standard
Meeting KPI's and targets
Develop relationships and networks with key stakeholders such as: Employers, Job Centre teams and funding providers

No prior experience is necessary, but we are looking for the following soft skills

A passion for working with people
Experience of working in a customer focused, target driven environment.
Some exposure to supporting and coaching to individuals with the ability to constructively challenge where needed.
A level of independence and professionalism to work independently;
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills;
Performance and target focused

The team is constantly growing and there will naturally be progression opportunities created. Working hours are 9:00am-5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch, 37.5 hours per week. You will be provided with a laptop, smart phone, Printer/scanner and headset. Salary ranges between £25,500 – £29,000 depending on experience.
