CNC Operator

We are a privately owned Aerospace manufacturer based in Braintree, Essex

Due to increased growth, we are now seeking to recruit 2 / 3 CNC Operators ideally with turning experience. 1 of the roles will be working a 6am – 2.00pm Monday to Friday and 2 of the roles will be working on a shift 1.45pm – 11.45pm Monday to Thursday.

CNC Operator tasks will include:

· Operating various machines as directed by the Planning Manager the start of the shift.

· You will need effective multi-tasking skills as you will be expected to operate more than one machine as directed by the Planning Manager. All targets set are achievable.

· Ensure good housekeeping standards to maintain tidiness and cleanliness and to maintain the working environment to improve safety.

· Ensure process instructions are adhered to.

· Carry out job in accordance with the works order and other relevant paperwork, ensuring that cycle time efficiency is maximised.

· Responsible for inspection of product throughout the cycle to ensure excellent quality of product and to minimise inspection time at the end of the production run.

· Ensure strict segregation of defective components.

· Report machine failures to the Planning Manager in a timely manner.

· Ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements to include health and safety, EN AS9100.Rev D and ensure routing and other work instruction accuracy.

· Working closely with the Planning Manager on improvement activity and co-ordinate suggestions from their team.

· Other ad-hoc duties as may be required
