Behaviour Support Worker

I am currently working with a pupil referral unit in the Bradford area, who are looking for an experienced behaviour support assistant to work in KS3/4 on a flexible temporary basis. The pupil referral unit provides stability, education and empowerment and takes into account their differentiated learning styles to ensure students integrated socially, emotionally and educationally. Job Description:

Operate within agreed professional ethical and school policies when working with pupils and those involved with them.

Encourage and support staff in positive regard restraint training when presented with difficult behaviours.

Supporting pupils overcome their crisis and deal with the consequences.

Assist integration for the child into the rest of the class/group.

Maintain good working relationships with the other members of staff.

Empower pupils and encourage positive regulation of social and emotional skills.

To support the child focus in class and keep them on task to complete.

Develop positive relationships with the pupils.

Listen to the child and offer appropriate support if necessary.

Provide information for behavioural records and report back as required.

Job Specification:

Must have at least 6 months solid experience working as a behaviour support assistant in a pupil referral unit or similar setting.

Level two or above Teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.

Be proactive

Flexible in temporary work patterns

Team Teach trained desirable, however training provided.

Competitive daily rate £70-£75.

Enhanced DBS subscribed to update service- or willing to apply for one.

-Competitive rates of pay from between £ 350- £ 375  per week (AWR Compliant)
